September 15, 1950

Deidre Hobbs was born in Newport News, VA

1968: High School Graduation

Dee was a member of the 1968 graduating class of Hampton High School, in Hampton, Virginia.

1970 - 1982

In 1970, Dee marries Donald and becomes Deidre Sargent.

Donald and Dee have a son named David and remain married until 1982, but remain close.

December 22, 2006

Deirdre Hobbs Sargent of Elkton, MD died at Johns Hopkins Hospital on Friday, December 22, 2006, after a long battle against pulmonary fibrosis.

Dee was surrounded by her family and moved peacefully into the afterlife with the guidance and prayers of a Buddhist priest.

A tribute to Dee was held 1/1/2007

A gathering of Dee's friends was held on Monday, January 1st at Lillith Grove Women's Center.

The Moon Circle was held indoors due to the rain and Lisa and Deb Mc. did a wonderful job of helping us all honor Dee in a way she would have truly loved!
